    DP World is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller SG&A. This role can be based working either from our office in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Duisburg (Germany) or London (United Kingdom).

    In this role you will provide your professional support to the FP&A Director Logistics & SG&A to ensure that SG&A costs are fully understood through budgeting, forecasting, reporting and control of the SG&A P&L costs and allocations. You will also be working on project reporting and Capex appraisal. Your involvement in transfer pricing discussions is essential to understand impact on business. A key responsibility for the role is to report SG&A cost base gross and net of allocations to BU's and sites by cost centres/departments, liaising with department owners to control costs and deliver targets.

    How you will contribute

  • Review and comment on the SG&A costs gross and net of allocations for onward Regional reporting and overall control of a significant cost base (c. $200m).
  • Prepare and help present the monthly SG&A results overview to Department cost owners.
  • Analyse headcount and payroll costs by Department / costcentre and how it relates to operational business . % of revenue, proportion of overall cost base.
  • Prepare budget files per department cost owner and work closely with the department owners in order to put together a realistic budget.
  • Support in the preparation and development of the SG&A cost base gross and net for 10yr plan / 3yr budgets.
  • Challenge Department owners on the information provided compared to budget and forecast.
  • Proactively assist multi-disciplinary teams undertaking ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Business partnering with Department owners and their financial functions in the analysis of their management reporting aiming to ensure costs are best in class.
  • Work closely with Financial Analysis & Management Reporting to provide support on SG&A queries.
  • Manage the allocations process to ensure SG&A direct costs are allocated to sites.
  • During the month end process, ensure costs are accurately reflected in the department before closing working closely with the Department owners/accounting teams.
  • Continuous improvements in processes through system or excel driven automation, driving efficiency.
  • Drive oracle design and implementation for optimum efficiency in FP&A of SG&A cost base providing consistency and visibility of costs across the Region.
  • Ensure governance is adhered to relating to any Head Office recharges or recharges from Europe legal entities.
  • What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional accountancy qualification.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a financial controller/analyst position.
  • Experience with sg&a accounting/reporting in a multinational company.
  • Experience with Planning/Consolidation tools like BPC (SAP), Hyperion, EPBCS (Oracle).
  • You are highly proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Excel power user is a must. You have to be able to manage big data files.
  • You are ready to travel between 10-30% of the time across the region to our operations to perform tasks / activities on site.
  • You speak and write fluent English – additional languages are a bonus, but not a must.
