About this position We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced (Senior) Web Engineer to join our team at GLS/NXT.
You will be instrumental in state-of-the-art web applications for the private and business customers of GLS Germany, products that have the potential to impact the day-to-day lives of millions of people.
As an early member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to shape our technology stack and processes while making significant contributions to our projects.
As a key and early hire, all doors are open for your personal and professional development – you are in the driver's seatDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications that meet user needs and business objectives while always keeping an eye on usability, performance and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams made up of backend engineers, designers, product and business managers to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend new tools and practices to improve our frontend development process
Contribute to the development of technical specifications, architecture, and design documentation
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field
~5+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on React and Typescript
~ Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural patterns, modern web design principles and cross-browser compatibility
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES2015+) and modern web development tools
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively both written and verbal in a team environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
