EUCF PE:
Site ProcessEngineer Amazon is seeking Site ProcessEngineers to work in the EU Process Engineering (EU PE) team. TheSite Process Engineer is an onsite position.

The EU PEteam is a group of operational leaders driving processstabilization, standardization and continuous improvement for theEU Customer Fulfilment Network.

This team is essential to establishbest in class process performance across all different direct andindirect processes, accelerate implementation of technologicaladvancements and to strengthen the technical acumen and processknowledge for the operational leaders across the FC network.

EU PEensures the operations teams are equipped with the functionalexpertise to successfully deliver expected gains for technologyadvances and network wide processimprovements.

The team drives process controland shifting mean performance with the outcome of minimizingvariation between shifts, building and region, to deliver strongperformance.

The team works closely with Process System Engineering(PSE), ACES PM, Central Ops, launch teams, operations engineeringand reliability and maintenance (RME) teams to improve the inputmetrics for each of the process paths by prioritizing andchannelling resources.

The Site ProcessEngineer works alongside with the FC Senior Leadership Team, whilekeeping high collaboration with EU PE functions.

This role isresponsible to deploy initiatives, build networking andrelationship in the FC and drive compliance for the initiativeswithin an assigned timeline.

The Site Process Engineer initiatesand implements EU wide improvement activities.

This role requiresthe ability to demonstrate ownership for initiatives, understandthe initiatives in details, and influence to deliver meaningfulresults translating to tangible productivity and efficiency gainsin the FC.

Key jobresponsibilities

• Work on Back to Basics (B2B)initiatives identifying the top opportunities in the FC incomparison with the other EU FCs. Start from the bottom 50%processes, looking for the input metrics with the biggest gap toBenchmark and implement the improvement action plan in closecollaboration with the local Operations Management team followingthe standard improvement templates.

a.

Oversee the FCimprovement program and set focus on most important areas, based onthe alignment with the FC Senior Leadership team.

b.

Divedeep into the process performance by using available standardreporting or create own data analysis, call out in in the dailydive deep meetings and collect feedback from the local team to beable to convert this information into a tangible improvement plan,that matters to the FC.

c.

Review the open Action Planson weekly basis, engaging the FC stakeholders to complete thesuggested actions and reach the desired targets.

d.

Collaborate with the central PE functions and other Site PEs fromthe same region to clarify any doubt process related and leveragingon their level of expertise.

Benchmarking initiatives are highlyrecommended to further reduce variation across the FCs.

• Work on Continuous Improvement with the FC

a. Drivenetwork best practice implementation, leveraging local initiativeled with local Ops and share them to EU PE for the review. Onceapproved the best practice will be officially added to all EU BestPractice repository. This process is fundamental to help the top50% FCs to reach Best In Class through the Variation Reductionprocess.
b. Strengthen the framework used to capture andscale FC innovation.

New ideas and projects from the FC will flowthrough a standard process and presented to ACES process SMEs forthe review.

c.

Ensure big projects / ideas from the FC(10M$+ WW saving) are captured in the Operating Plan Q1 (OP1)Project Intake every year.

• Own the deployment of allthe EU network initiatives assigned to the FC, making sure thatthey are executed with the right timeline, reaching compliance.

Support the FC to commit on test and pilot for the EU Projects inorder to avoid delays and make sure that projects are then deployedand reviewed in all the EU FCs.

Partnershipwith the FC Ops:
a.

Join the daily Gemba on the floorwith FC Leadership in order to stay aligned with FC top issues andAssociate feedback.

b.

Organize the weekly LSC Meetingwith the FC Leadership Team updating the Team on EU VariationReduction, EU Projects rolled out in the FC, FC Best practicesshared at EU level and FC local initiatives eligible for test orpilot.

c.

Support the Site Leader and the FC SeniorManagement Team creating a strong relationship with them, whichallows the Site PE to gain their trust and buy-in for all theinitiatives.

Beside standard task, SPE can support Site Leader andSenior Ops on process related ad hoc tasks from the FC accountingfor less than 10% of the working time.

• Be ready tosupport or lead EU Projects to expand the initial scope andcoordinate more than one FC. This opportunity is really importantto improve project management skills and to deal with externalstakeholders.
• During Q4 you will be deployed to thesite management operational team, based on the need of thebuilding.
• Ability to travel as needed within your areaof responsibility.

Domestic and regional travel estimate average:0-10%. (Subject to change based on businessneed).

• Strong professional experience withLean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies
