- Ideally a Bachelor's degree and 3-6 years of experience in similar Strategischer Einkäufer positions, managing many suppliers and delivering cost savings
- Strong relationship management, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills (proficient in written and spoken English and fluent in German)
- KPI-driven, proactive, self-motivated and a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to network internally across a large, complex organization and build strong working relationships at all levels of the organization

An excellent career opportunity for a Strategischer Einkäufer to join a leading global company that provides instruments which measure and protect water quality for people and companies around the world.
This will suit a Senior Buyer (proficient English & fluent German), who enjoys a mix of both strategic and tactical purchasing in a fast-paced, KPI-focused, large international company environment.
The Opportunity

Working within our EMEA Strategic Sourcing team in Berlin, the Strategischer Einkäufer will manage short & long-term commodity actions, contracts, and supplier management strategies for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) & Resale commodity category in Europe.
This includes a variety of components and finished products from over 100 suppliers. The role has a strong focus on strategic purchasing but also contains some tactical purchasing tasks like ordering samples for projects or clarifying supplier quality issues. Within this year we're looking to move this to a 100% strategic role.
