    Our Business Area (BA) Markets is looking for the right person to fill the position as

    Sustainability Certification Manager

    for our office in Hamburg.

    Depending on the profile the role can be for differing levels of Seniority.

    Your key responsibilities:

    • Responsible for sustainability and certification schemes for the Biofuels and Green Gas Trading Desks
    • Commercially develop, enhance and support the Desks with trading strategies using in depth knowledge of sustainability schemes
    • Understand and evaluate regulatory changes and opportunities arising from developing legislation
    • Manage all internal and external stakeholders regarding sustainability and certification related topics
    • Manage (re-)certification audits and function as key contact for auditors and other stakeholders
    • Maintain internal certification processes and documentation
    • Take ownership for new certifications including setting up and managing the required processes
    • Identify improvements and synergies of the existing sustainability set-up/processes and certification schemes
    • Provide broader organization with key sustainability and certification insights
    • Maintain and further develop due diligence processes and trainings in line with requirements
    • Act as internal interface to staff functions like Sustainability, PRA, Communications, Compliance and involvement in Biofuels and Green Gas Projects
    Qualifications

    Your profile as Sustainability Certification Manager:

    • Proven track record working as sustainability manager with a minimum of 3-7 years' experience
    • Strong fundamental knowledge about sustainability related topics in energy markets, especially green gas and biofuels
    • Thorough knowledge on relevant sustainability certification schemes like ISCC, RedCert, FSC and SBP is a plus
    • Ability and willingness to take ownership; to explore, identify, drive, solve challenges and capture opportunities
    • Excellent team player with strong communication skills
    • Natural self-starter and proactive, able to work as part of a team and on an individual basis
    • Interest to look beyond current sustainability set-up and contribute towards developing the business further
    • Strong and proven analytical skills
    • High reliability and readiness to take on responsibility
    • Stress resistance
    • Fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous)
