    At LiveEO, we combine Space Technology with AI to solve problems here on Earth. LiveEO is applying the latest developments in artificial intelligence to analyse satellite data and is bringing the insights of earth observation data to customers in the enterprise sector. LiveEO's ambitious goal is to monitor 1 billion assets across the globe with its unique SaaS solution until 2030.
    As a Backend Engineer, you will work on applications that use machine learning and satellite data to help companies and countries fight deforestation, to monitor critical infrastructure and to respond faster and more precisely to natural disasters, among other things. Our aim is to empower any user in the world to utilize the power of earth observation satellites to simplify and improve their daily work. To this end, you would develop, build and run cloud-based backends and microservices using architectural and development best practices. As a young company, you can influence, improve and shape how we work, code and approach things extensively.

    Your challenge

    • Design, code, build and run backends and microservices for existing and greenfield applications with complex business logic;
    • Refactor, redesign, rebuild existing services;
    • Work with Product Management, Machine Learning, Geospatial and other key stakeholders to help shape our product.

    Your profile

    • Experience as a junior/mid-level Backend or Full-Stack Software Engineer;
    • Familiarity with TDD and BDD;
    • Familiarity with NestJS and the wider NodeJS ecosystem, Typescript;
    • Familiarity with cloud-based software development, preferably on AWS;
    • Knowledge of API Design best practices to improve the consumer developer experience;
    • Experience with rabbitmq, python;
    • Knowledge of Prefect, Argo or other workflow orchestration tools;
    • Experience with setting up robust CI/CD pipelines;
    • A good understanding of relational databases.
