Senior Data Governance Specialist (f/m/d)


Your Responsibilities:
Define, roll out, and adjust the data governance framework, including standards and processes, to ensure effective governance of data in domains
Align data governance efforts across data domains and responsibilities, ensuring synergies are realized despite decentralized ownership of data
Define, deploy, and track global data governance performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of data governance initiatives
Provide steering and coaching to data stewards
Manage and promote data governance knowledge-sharing activities across CureVac
Specify data governance tooling requirements


Your Qualifications:
University degree in a related field, or an equivalent qualification
Extensive experience in leading data governance in a corporate, environment including data governance principles, data protection, and privacy laws and regulations, preferably in the Life Science area
Leadership skills focusing on technically leading data stewards in a matrix organization, capability of managing multiple initiatives, prioritizing tasks, and achieving objectives within timelines
Experience in change management; capability of driving the adoption of new data governance practices and culture within organizations
Strong communication skills for stakeholder alignments with data owners on a senior management level as well as data stewards on a subject matter expert level
Fluency in English, German is a plus
