- Conducting marriages and related tasks, consultations, and information provision
- Registering births and related tasks, consultations, and information provision
- Registering deaths and related tasks, consultations, and information provision
- Updating civil status entries
- Registering civil status events from abroad and related tasks, consultations, and information provision
- Handling official name changes and related tasks, consultations, and information provision
- Advising, receiving, and certifying declarations regarding name use of all kinds along with related tasks
- Handling correction requests, statements, and criminal reports
- Qualification for a career in General Services, Grade 1, second entry-level (formerly medium-level service) or equivalent qualifications with training as a clerk for public administration
- Successful completion of the introductory course for standesbeamten or the willingness to complete it promptly
- Knowledge of the 'Autista' software program is required or to be acquired shortly
- Rhetorical skills for delivering marriage speeches and reading (old) German / Sütterlin script is to be acquired
- Willingness to conduct marriages outside the town hall at designated locations
- Ability to empathetically address and professionally handle individual customer needs
- Strong social competence and service orientation
- High level of communication skills
- Ability and willingness to quickly, decisively, and independently organize work in your own area
- Ability to identify conflicts and handle them appropriately
- Willingness to attend various one-day and multi-day training sessions regularly
