Full-time with 38,5 hours Salary level according to salary group 13 TV-L Job Id: 9209 – *gn=gender neutral Our research focuses on molecular mechanisms of synapse formation and neurotransmission.
We seek an interested and motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the role of the synaptic organizer molecules neurexins and their defects in mutant mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders.
Current projects analyze the crosstalk of neurexins with synaptic Ca2+ channels in vitro and in vivo.Suitable candidates will hold above-average university and PhD degrees in neuroscience or related subjects and have already shown a motivation for basic science as evidenced by a strong publication record.
We expect relevant prior experience with electrophysiological and microscopic techniques to analyze synaptic function in brain slices or cultured neurons.
Good English language skills (written and oral) and the willingness to cooperate and work in a team are an asset.
