    Non-Life Planning & Monitoring – Controller with focus on legal view planning and monitoring

    In the Division Reinsurance Controlling (RIC), the responsibilities of controlling and management reporting are bundled together to ensure a uniform controlling process. RIC advises the Reinsurance Committee, Reinsurance-CEO and the RI-CFO in respect of the current economics of the Reinsurance Segment and proper allocation of resources. RIC advises divisional board members and divisional leaders accordingly in respect of their operative units. In parallel to the Reinsurance Controlling mission, RIC is enabling the global provision of structured internal Reinsurance Data as the Global Process Owner for Reporting.

    Within the P&C controlling community, the team "Financial Year Planning and Combined View Non-Life" is responsible for the processes, systems and methods around IFRS17 planning and controlling. In the context of the still relatively new IFRS17 and IFRS9 reporting standards we are looking for a colleague with an accounting or actuarial background and with strong analytical skills to support our team in the quarterly monitoring processes as well as the implementation of the future IFRS17 financial year planning process.

  • Preparing the quarterly monitoring of IFRS17 P&L in controlling-specific EDWH report by focusing on data validation, quality assurance tasks and driver analyses
  • Providing controlling colleagues and other internal stakeholders with meaningful analyses e.g. IFRS17 monitoring and planning data, sometimes with specific areas of interest like retrocession or expenses
  • Supporting the implementation of the future IFRS17 financial year planning process with a focus on P&L and balance sheet topics and the interface to controlling-specific EDWH report
  • Contributing to the further development of our RIC-specific EDWH report by defining requirements and performing business tests on newly developed features
  • Actively supporting the IFRS17 knowledge building activities within controlling community
  • Applying data analytics tools for quality assurance or visualisation tasks
  • Your profile

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Information Technologies or equivalent
  • Expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting (Actuals and Forecast) or reserving; experience in P&C reinsurance desirable
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 (and IFRS9) regulatory framework
  • Sound experience in SAP monitoring tools (ECON / GT, FSRI, FPSL or Afo reporting in general)
  • Basic skills in data analytics and respective tools such as Power BI & SQL is a plus
  • Strong skills in working independently and with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage yourself coupled with a sound team spirit
  • Knowledge sharing attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good command of Business English and willingness to work in an international environment
