    • Lead an international team of twelve employees with a functional lead-sub-structure for Risk Controlling and Margin Controlling
    • Ensure adequate risk controls and suitable performance and risk reporting for CAO CE Hedging Desk; be responsible for continuous improvement and coordination of financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes for CAO CE Hedging Desk
    • Provide relevant information on performance and risk to top management (e.g. in the context of the Commodity Management Committee)
    • Provide telling margin analyses in actuals, forecast and plan for both the renewables and the conventional power generation companies across all of the group (CE)
    • Monitor market risk limits, timely communication of limit breaches, market conformity checks
    • Liaise with front office in order to challenge trading strategies, markets, products and business processes
    • Take business ownership of risk IT infrastructure specific to CAO CE, in particular margin database, hedge benchmarks and associated workflows
    • Ensure excellent collaboration and information flows with neighboring teams within the CAO Risk and Controlling organisation
    • Setting the conceptual framework and implementation of hedge benchmarks, in particular Reference Hedge Path (RHP) and Benchmark Trader (BMT)
    • Support new business activities

    Your powerful skills

    • Profound knowledge on business model of business as well as sound understanding of energy markets, products, processes and trading strategies
    • Exceptional conceptual and strong analytical / quantitative skills with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to simplify complex matters for senior management discussions across group (both German and English)
    • Relevant experience in Risk Controlling or CAO Front Office and broad knowledge of Controlling processes around generation margin across RWE group beneficial
    • Evidence of consistent delivery of excellent quality outputs on time and in a complex environment
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Know-how in relevant systems (in particular Microsoft Excel & Access, VBA, SQL and OLF Endur)
    • Being a team player with high motivation, passion and drive
