    The Role

    Position Introduction:

    In this role you are the key interface between Kulicke & Soffa and the customer. You represent K&S both technically and professionally to ensure that K&S wire bonding equipment is installed, maintained and repaired, aiming at customers' satisfaction through reliability and proactive on-site support. You are based in Germany and support our customers throughout Europe. You are eager to learn all about our machines and preferably have been working on K&S equipment/wire bonding equipment in the past.

    Responsibilities:

    • Service activities, including on-site installation, upgrades, preventive maintenance and system repairs.
    • Solving a broad range of hardware and/or software problems.
    • Proactive and responsive technical telephone and email support, ensuring that our customers are successful in the use of the equipment.
    • Training customers in the use of our equipment.
    • Yimely and accurate reports of your activities: e.g. service reports and expense reports.

    Ideal Profile

    Requirements:

    You are a person that enjoys solving technical challenges and assuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. To be successful in this role you:

    • Completed a technical study in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or any other relevant field.
    • Relevant experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing high-tech machines/equipment.
    • Independent, service-minded and customer-focused.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in German is a plus.
    • Willing to travel to customer sites within the EU (up to 50%).
    • Eligible to work and travel in Europe and have a valid driver's license (European Class B).

    The Team

    As our new Field Service Engineer, you will become part of the European Customer Service Team for the ball- and wedge bonding business line. The team consists of 10 dedicated Customer Support Engineer who are based in several countries throughout Europe. Together we are servicing and supporting our customers by installing, maintaining and repairing K&S wire bonding equipment. Our products are complex mechatronic systems known for their high output and high accuracy.
