Hauptaufgaben

Maintains an adequate stock of hotel supplies to include but not limited to bed and table linens to insure a constant supply to housekeeping, and dining room employees. Maintains an adequate stock of cleaning materials, equipment, and working utensils to ensure a constant supply to hotel personnel.

Receives, inventories, requests, and stores hotel supplies to include linen, cleaning materials and equipment, guest room furniture, equipment, and working utensils in shelves or other adequate storage space separated different types to insure proper accessibility of items for issue, inventory and inspections.
Issues items in adequate amounts required to authorized personnel.

Counts and bundles soiled linen and initiates laundering; checks linen returned from laundry for accurate cleanliness, number of pieces returned, and necessity of repair. Initiates repair or replacement of linen and hotel equipment, assures that cost for such repair is economical.

Ensures correctness, completeness and proper condition. Notes averages, shortages, or any damage incurred in shipping, and/or other deficiencies and initiates corrective action. Prepares receiving report and signs for proper receipt of material. Assure proper marking of new hotel equipment and linen.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

Description of the Education & Training Levels:

E&T Level I: 1 year of job related experience./ 1 Jahr stellenbezogene Erfahrung.

Exception: Applicants, who do not meet E&T Level I must have 1 year of general experience in accommodation, catering or service facilities, in an office or store, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc. and 1 year of job related experience.
Ausnahme: Bewerber/innen, die nicht den E&T Level I haben, benoetigen 1 Jahr allgemeine Erfahrung in Beherbergungs- Gaststätten- oder Servicebetrieben, in einem Buerobetrieb, in einem Geschaeft, Telefon- oder Organisationsarbeit oder in Kassierertaetigkeit, usw. und ein 1 Jahr stellenbezogene Erfahrung.

Job Related Experience: Experience that equipped the candidate with knowledge of proper storage methods, keeping accurate inventories, applying standards of cleanliness, selecting and using the proper cleaning materials and utensils, maintaining cleaning tools and equipment and in using hand trucks, dollies, and other similar manual equipment to move stock.

Stellenbezogene Erfahrung: Erfahrung mit der Lagerung von Materialien, Inventuren, Einhaltung von Hygienestandards, Auswahl der passenden Reiniger und Geraeten, die Sorgfalt und Pflege der Geraete und Utensilien und der Umgang mit Handwagen, Rollwagen usw. zum Transport von Ware oder Vorraeten.

E&T Level II: 6 months of job related experience. With a completed apprenticeship in an accommodation facility, no additional experience is required./6 Monate stellenbezogene Erfahrung. Mit einer abgeschlossenen Lehre im Hotelgewerbe ist keine Berufserfahrung erforderlich.

E&T level III and above: no experience required.

E&T Level III und hoeher: keine Berufserfahrung erforderlich

Exception: Current employees who have serviced 1 year in the same or similar occupational series, are qualified for the next higher grade level.
Ausnahme: Innerbetriebliche Arbeitnehmer, die 1 Jahr im gleichen oder aehnlichen Taetigkeitsbereich beschaeftigt sind, qualifizieren fuer den naechst hoeheren Bezahlungsgrad.

Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license. /

This position is a Nonappropriated Fund Position. /Diese Position wird aus haushaltsrechtlichem Sondervermoegen (Nonappropriated Fund) finanziert.

Rotating shift work and work on weekends and holidays required. / Wechselschicht, Wochenend- und Feiertagsarbeit erforderlich.

Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs required. / Schweres Heben bis zu 23 kg erforderlich.
