    Computer Science (M.Sc.)

    Der Master-Studiengang Computer Science soll es Absolvent*innen von Bachelor-Studiengängen ermöglichen, ein wissenschaftliches Masterstudium anzuschließen. Insbesondere handelt es sich um ein äußerst attraktives Angebot für Studierende, die ihre Kompetenzen im Bereich der Medien ergänzen bzw. vertiefen möchten. Der Studiengang ist für Absolvent*innen der Studiengänge "Informatik", "Medieningenieur/-in" und "Wirtschaftsinformatik" sowie aus anderen technischen Studiengänge an der FH Kiel besonders interessant, da ihnen die Hochschule aus dem Erststudium vertraut ist. Der Studiengang richtet sich aber auch an Studierende mit ähnlichen Abschlüssen im Bereich der Informatik, insbesondere auch an Studierende mit internationalen Bachelor-Abschlüssen. Der neue Studiengang bietet Studierenden die Möglichkeit, ihre wissenschaftliche Ausbildung an der FH Kiel abgestimmt fortzuführen. Ferner trägt die Durchführung des Studiengangs in englischer Sprache dazu bei, fachliche Sprachkompetenze zu entwickeln.

    Das Programm bietet für Berufsfelder in der Informatik geeignete Modulkataloge an, die aus Pflicht- und Wahlmodulen bestehen. In den Wahlpflichtmodulen ist eine Vertiefung der Kenntnisse in der gewählten Spezialisierung möglich. In einem Zusatzmodul können die Studierenden auch zwischen Angeboten anderer Studiengänge, Fakultäten oder Hochschulen wählen.

    Berufsbild

    Potentielle Tätigkeitsfelder der zukünftigen Absolvent*innen finden sich in der Technischen Forschung und Entwicklung, in Management und Organisation, aber auch in vertriebsorientierter und beratender Tätigkeit (bspw. als Produktspezialist und im Kontext von Schulungen) oder im Bereich selbständiger Firmengründungen. Die Aufgabenbereiche lassen sich der Methodenentwicklung zur Datenanalyse und -verarbeitung zuordnen und betreffen Systemarchitektur, -entwicklung, -integration und -optimierung. Netzwerkmanagement und -sicherheit und Datenbankmanagement und -sicherheit sind ebenso wie die Entwicklung von Algorithmen und Anwendungen im Bereich der Informationstechnologie weitere Tätigkeitsfelder.
