    Two Research Opportunities in Cyber-Physical Systems at DTU Compute

    The expansion of our ESE section presents an exciting opportunity to influence its future trajectory. Over the next 5 years, we are planning to recruit multiple new faculty members.     Responsibilities and Qualifications

    • Conducting top-notch research leading to publications in prestigious journals and conferences.
    • Collaborating with academic and industry partners nationally and globally.
    • Mentoring and supervising BSc and MSc projects while co-supervising PhD students.
    • Contributing to departmental teaching to enhance your academic profile for future roles.
    • Actively engaging in the research community, including conference participation and presentations.

    We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas:

    • Dependable Edge Computing and Real-Time Systems: Innovating architectures and resource management mechanisms to enhance the virtualization of critical functions and data processing at the edge, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
    • IC Design and EDA: Developing new architectures and methodologies in IC design to improve performance, power efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Green Computing: Implementing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of digital technologies, focusing on energy efficiency without compromising reliability.
    • Key Digital Technologies for Sustainability: Leveraging advanced digital tools like AI, 5G, and cloud computing to drive sustainability and innovation.

    Qualifications

    • Hold a PhD degree or equivalent in a field related to IC design, Cyber-Physical Systems, or the Computing Continuum.
    • Demonstrated track record of publishing in reputable venues.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

    Salary and Terms of Employment

    This position follows the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Specific terms will be determined in consultation with the appropriate union. The appointment is for 3 years, with the start date to be mutually agreed upon, preferably in the fall of 2024. The full-time role is based at the DTU campus in Kongens Lyngby, close to Copenhagen.
