We are the Digital Accelerator - a Competence Center within Mercedes-Benz Management Consulting. In close cooperation with top management, we drive forward key strategy projects and strengthen the digital growth of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. To ensure the sustainable competitiveness of the company, we develop strategies for business transformation, enable our customers to automate their core business and benefit from new digital business models.

As a full-stack data analytics/data science expert, you will develop data-centric solutions and, together with your project team, enable digital decision support for our top management in order to actively shape the future of one of the most successful mobility companies in the world. Together with your project team, you will be responsible for the development and provision of an end-to-end solution from data engineering and data analytics to user-friendly customer frontends, thus providing an important building block for the MBMC's portfolio of services and solution development expertise. As part of an interdisciplinary team of highly motivated colleagues, you will work together with other data experts and consultants to understand and implement our clients' requirements. Across all departments, you will support in enabling data- and technology-driven solutions to answer the strategic challenges of Mercedes-Benz.

You will face these challenges:

Advising on strategic and operational issues related to digitalization and data-driven optimization

Participation in the identification and evaluation of possible applications of data-based decision support

(Partial) responsibility for the successful development and implementation of innovative analytics and business intelligence solutions for interdisciplinary, comprehensive business processes with a large number of interfaces and stakeholders

Participation in data analysis from conception to model building, from data engineering to visualization

(Partial) responsibility for the identification and definition of data sources as well as the design of strategic, cross-functional data models for use in multiple analytics projects and integration into a cross-project data layer

Requirements engineering and (rapid) prototyping for the creation of BI/data analytics tools (Power BI/Python stack in Azure environment)

Participation in the development of individual (sub-)projects for the on-time, on-budget and on-quality delivery of project results as well as the tracking and control of the respective project risks

Ensuring the internal transfer of knowledge between projects and stakeholders

Contributing to the derivation of new conceptual approaches and methods for future projects

Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams

Ideally you have the following:

Professional qualifications:

Successfully completed studies in economics, computer science, engineering, natural sciences or comparable disciplines with mathematical, statistical or econometric components

Experience in a dynamic, analytical working environment (e.g. in management consulting, the automotive industry, software or start-up sector)

Experience in the practical application of data engineering including data evaluation and analysis

Experience in at least two other relevant topics such asNLP / GenAIMachine learningFrontend development (e.g. , REACT, Angular)Operations researchDeep learningSoftware EngineeringSparkApplication of statistics

Sound programming skills in relevant languages (Python, Java, Java script)
