About You and This Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our operations team, serving as the go-to expert in electrical engineering and construction. Your role will involve providing technical guidance and assistance for capital projects, maintenance tasks, and other relevant functions. Dow's engineers play a critical role in making informed technical decisions to ensure plant operations are both safe and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Support design and electrical engineering in line with Dow, German, and European standards and regulations.
• Work on overseeing electrical systems in chemical production facilities.
• Assist in the planning and execution of new installations and modifications.
• Provide maintenance support for electrotechnical systems and equipment.
• Engage in managing electrical plants' operations.
• Analyze operational data and select appropriate electrotechnical equipment.
• Maintain close collaboration with manufacturers, contractors, plant personnel, and external suppliers within the planning and electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Recent graduate or up to two years of work experience.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities, accompanied by a proactive approach.
• Effective communication skills and digital literacy.
• Desire to specialize in electrical engineering and automation technology.
• Innovative and inclusive mindset that thrives in multicultural environments.
• Enthusiasm for personal growth and development in a continuous learning environment.
• Proficiency in German and good English language skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CAD or similar engineering software.
• Expertise in PLC (Siemens Simatic) or switchgear control systems.
