- Development of an independent line of research consistent with the resources available at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering and acquisition of third-party-funding to establish a research team.
- Publication of research results in high-ranked international peer-reviewed journals
- Development and conduction of courses in the civil and environmental engineering programs at the University of Kassel.
- Co-supervision of PhD students as well as supervision of bachelor and master students.
- Completed course of academic study (Master degree) within the field of civil engineering.

The prospective research associate is expected to become actively involved in the research and teaching activities at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering.
