    Senior Frontend Engineer (f/m/d)

    Your role

    As a Senior Frontend Engineer (f/m/d) in the Process and Workflow team, you will build and maintain the operations' shipment management, automation, and documentation tools. From designing workflows to dynamic document generation, you will work hard to empower the Forties in the Operations team with the tools they need to do their jobs effectively.

    You will

  • Enable and maintain a high degree of automation: ending faxes, emails, and phone calls in logistics once and for all, thereby creating an opportunity for meaningful tasks for the Forties rather than working on tedious manual tasks
  • Be actively involved in a team: own the full cycle of designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable and available software, as well as continuously improving existing systems, including refactoring critical components of our platform
  • Explore and implement cutting-edge software design patterns to help solve very challenging problems we are facing within an evolving domain
  • Be exposed to challenges, such as leading engineering-wide initiatives, interacting with different teams and stakeholders, and writing concise Architectural Decision Records (ADRs)
  • Mentor others in the engineering team, explore new challenges, and enable your team's growth

    • What you bring

  • Strong skills with most of the frontend-end technologies we use: React, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Extra points for experience on the back-end – with NodeJS, MongoDB, Elastic search, message queuing systems or Kubernetes, as we will want you to develop your skills further eventually
  • Professional attitude towards software craftsmanship with a good understanding of different types of testing and why TDD is important
  • Resilience – the ability to work in a large and high-paced team while remaining calm and focused
  • Strong desire to learn and improve; you see demanding tasks as challenges and opportunities
  • Proactive attitude and reliability, willingness to engage with our users, and a communicative and collaborative spirit
  • A sense of fun and an easy-going attitude in the day-to-day work and interactions
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
