The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for two-way radio service repair technicians for our new Service team in Pulheim, Cologne - Germany. Candidates from professional mobile radio industry and/or electrical/electronics background are sought after

Here are some of the key responsibilities that apply:

Main Responsibilities

• Undertaking radio repairs for portfolio of Hytera two-way radio products - diagnose and repair faults to component level.
• Using signals and IRF test sets to diagnose RF, control, power and TTL circuit-based faults.
• Familiar with the operation of power supplies, signal generators and multi meters.
• Read and comprehend circuit, layout and block diagrams
• Logging all required information in online service portal.
• Upgrading and CPS (customer programming software) for terminal profile and firmware programming.

What you need to apply

• Electronics vocational training qualifications desirable
• Previous work experience within the RF Technologies field - analogue and digital processing
• Experience with digital radio communication IFR, IP networks and associated technologies (e.g. Tier III, MPT1327, DMR, GSM/3G/LTE, GPS, and Bluetooth) and equipment (e.g. spectrum analysers, air interface diagnostic/logging tools).
• Good soldering and wiring skills desirable
• ·Understanding of communications protocols (e.g., TCP), the Internet, routers, firewalls and proxy servers
• Adobe, Zendesk and Windows environment.
• Working knowledge of software programming equipment, Upgrading and CPS (customer programming software) for terminal profile and firmware programming.
• The right candidate will have a good grounding in electronics being able to diagnose and repair faults to component level.
• Working knowledge of SAGE or other ERP tool desirable
• Efficient in basic IT skills and software packages including MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in German and professional level English
