- Responsibilities:
- In the Network Design area, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the WAN network of the largest German distribution network operator
- Work on challenging WAN/LAN infrastructures, actively participate in projects, and implement solutions into regular operation
- Maintain highly available central and decentralized routing and switching infrastructures based on company-specific transmission technologies
- Take on tasks in 3rd Level Support and contribute to Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Deployment Management
- Develop processes, concepts, and strategies for future network development and contribute to operational documentation
- Participate in project rounds, represent your team, and take on technical responsibility
- Participate in on-call duties after appropriate training (remote)
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or equivalent
- Extensive experience with Cisco and Juniper components and related certifications
- Proficient in TCP/IP Networking, Routing and Switching Protocols, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, QoS, IPv4, and IPv6
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructures, ITIL-based approach, and project management
- Ability to analyze complex issues and drive improvements for a healthy work environment
