    Hauptaufgaben

    Performs a variety of nonsupervisory clerical and technical functions in support of operation associated with the ammunition support activity. Primary focus includes the functional requirements associated with executing and conducting receipt, storage, stock control & accounting, key control, access, inventory, shipment, transshipment and re-warehousing activities associated with ammunition, as well as retail specific issue and turn-in activities. Overall scope of operations include monitoring storage compliance of multiple explosive licensed storage structures/cells, segregating and storing/re-warehousing various hazard forms of US and non/US munitions in accordance with proper segregation and net explosive limits, provide assistance to supported USS and non/US customer unit personnel concerning ammunition issue and turn-in, perform ammunition operations and coordinate external transportation requests and movement actions. Required to be familiar with and conduct operations utilizing Standard Arm Ammunition System (SAAS), Defense Logistics Agency - Disposition Services (DLA-DS), Army Records Information Management Systems (ARIMS), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) and other associated automation systems. Monitors and executes supply related data and document process associated with Ammunition support activity operations. Receives, segregates, processes, distributes and maintains a variety of manual and automated forms of data associated with the receipt, issue turn-in, storage, stock control & accounting, key control, access, inventory, shipment, transshipments and re-warehousing activities. Determines completeness of required paperwork, verifies transaction data contained against supporting documents, and reviews system generated supply information and transaction status listings to verify the validity of the transaction and to ensure consistency of supply data. In case of transactions that cannot be clearly identified or involve missing or conflicting data, reviews a variety of data sources such as stock status and cross-reference lists, to identify proper item and action codes. Interactions and advises US and non/US customer unit personnel on Ammunition Support Activity operations. Monitors the activity physical and personnel security program. Executes the activity physical and personnel security programs. Maintains the activity manual and automated key control and seal operations. The work requires skilled use of the keyboard including the special function keys. Receives forecasts for customer units training ammunition requirements. Contacts customer unit to clarify discrepant information, when necessary. Interacts with supported unit personnel in scheduling issue and turn-in appointments and reconciling documents. Screens stock level listings to determine availability of requested ammunition, considering condition code and shelf life of items, and priority of requisition. Prepares and processes requisitions. Coordinates the requisitioning of special controlled material, with higher level authorities. Recommends the issue of appropriate substitute items, in case of emergencies. Initiates the segregation and freezing of stocks, to suspend issue of deficient material. Adjusts reorder points considering such factors as past and projected supply demand, criticality of item, requisitioning lead time, etc., and sets stock levels for new items. Researches and transcribes catalog data from manual and automated systems into SAAS. Prepares cyclic and special inventories. Selects proper computer program to produce count cards and control listings. Ensures that relevant data such as identification codes, national stock numbers, nomenclature, lot numbers, account codes and location codes are identified. Monitors inventory teams work performance and ensures adherence to established techniques. Initiates recounts, where necessary. Performs complex data research in document registers to clarify pertinent discrepancies.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

    Erfahrung A: Allgemeine Buerotaetigkeit z. B. Computeranwendung, Buchfuehrung, Inventuren, Telefon- oder Organisationsarbeit oder Kassierertaetigkeit.

    • Führerschein Klasse B wünschenswert. / German driver's license class B desired.

    • Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Büroanwenderprogrammen erforderlich. / Office automation skills are required.
