- Develop initial concepts, designs, and feasibility studies.
- Design hardware architecture and system design, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments or customers to analyze technical requirements and prepare detailed specifications.
- Set milestones and plan releases for both electronics and optical development.
- Oversee and assess experiments, measurements, and functional tests.
- Identify and qualify new components for use in our products.
- Assess design changes for their impact on functional safety.
- Support manufacturing and quality assurance as products move to mass production.
- Develop or adapt test equipment and programming devices to meet quality standards.
- Lead the commissioning and verification processes, establishing test criteria for validation and production.
- Contribute to the updating and improvement of existing product lines.
- Assist in product certifications and maintain thorough documentation.
- Serve as the technical liaison for customers, development partners, and component suppliers.
- Report directly to the Team Lead of Product Development, providing updates and insights on project progress.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hardware development, with a strong portfolio to show.
- Proficiency in hardware development and simulation tools.
- Preferably, a good understanding of hardware-related programming.
- High self-motivation and a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks.
- Independent, structured, and process-oriented work style.
- Fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication skills.
