    The Company

    This hire is for an instrumentation builder based in Augsburg, who due to growth are looking to hire a Sales Engineer to support their customers across Southern Germany and Austria.

    The company are well-established and has a strong reputation in the global market, which means that they are well suited to someone who wants to work for an ambitious market leader. They have built this reputation over the last 30 years with quality and innovation backing everything they do. Their instrumentation is now trusted by a variety of well-known household names across the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and FMCG industries.

    The Opportunity

    This person will support in managing and developing the company's customer base across southern Germany and Austria. They will be responsible for managing relationships, strengthening existing ones and working with the European Sales Manager to establish and execute a business development strategy across the defined territory.

    You will be the main point of contact providing application expertise, technical support/training and sharing product knowledge to advise customers on the best solution to meet their requirements.

    You will use your technical knowledge and commercial acumen to produce quotations and manage sales negotiations directly with customers.

    You will be based at the company office in Augsburg although you will be required to travel to customer sites nationally and occasionally internationally to demonstrate products and fully understand the customer's applications and needs. Expected travel 30%.

    The Person

    • To be considered you must have a degree in an engineering or a science-related field or be educated equivalently with a similar background.
    • We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated and highly organized individual with a confident, professional approach.
    • You must be willing to travel around 30% of the time to customer sites across the territory
    • Full product training will be provided meaning for the right person we can consider applications with little or no sales experience.
    • Candidates must have a valid German driving licence and be fluent in both English and German languages.
