- You will initiate and lead application engineering projects with new or existing film products and/ or new applications in close cooperation with the Commercial Operations organization
- You are responsible for coordinating technical activities in close coordination with Research & Development and Product Management according to the product and segment strategies
- You will also provide technical support for customers and partners along the process and value chain
- You are also responsible for scouting and benchmarking new technologies in the film processing industry and for protecting your own developments with patents
- You identify future trends in the film market, exchange ideas with the other regions about new applications and technologies and support the transfer
- Finally, you conduct product and application training and take part in trade fairs and conferences
- You have completed a technical university degree, ideally in the field of plastics processing or a comparable degree
- Several years of experience in application engineering or development, ideally in the field of high-security ID documents, banknotes or security printing, is a prerequisite
- You have a convincing strategic and analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex customer requirements into technical solutions
- In addition, you are characterized by a strong customer orientation and social skills as well as very good communication skills and a friendly, open and self-confident appearance
- We expect (inter-) national willingness to travel with peaks of up to 30%
- Very good German and English skills round off your profile
