    Job Description

    Our Controlling Specialists play a crucial role in aligning financial strategy with overall company goals. They provide financial insights and strategic guidance to ensure the financial health and success of the company. Acting as a bridge between the finance department and other business areas, the Controlling Specialists contribute to informed decision-making and drive financial performance.

    The Controlling Specialist works within the central Group Controlling Team overseeing all business areas and organizational units. They serve as the primary contact for all analyses and reporting within the company, aiming to optimize reporting and leverage data for predictive insights that drive growth, efficiency, and profitability enhancements.

    As part of the team, the Controlling Specialist conducts key analyses and reporting for the sales organization, senior management, and other main administrative departments. They also handle international requests for evaluations sent to the global corporation, providing deep insights into all areas of the company and contributing actively to overall company management within a collaborative and expert team environment. Special projects fostering personal development are frequent occurrences.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A):
      • Collaborating with other Controlling departments, all sales organizations, and headquarters for tasks like annual budgets, forecasting, monthly closures, and analyses.
      • Performing variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
      • Offering insights into financial performance and recommending corrective measures.
    • Strategic planning:
      • Working closely with Senior Management to grasp business objectives.
      • Participating in the development of long-term strategic plans and initiatives.
      • Evaluating the financial impacts of business strategies and suggesting adjustments.
    • Group Controlling:
      • Establishing strong relationships within the Controlling department and key stakeholders in all divisions.
      • Acting as a trusted advisor providing financial guidance and support.
      • Aiding in translating financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
      • Timely and independent preparation of regular reports for all business areas.
      • Monitoring and reporting on financial and operational metrics.
      • Proposing enhancements to boost overall business efficiency.
      • Supporting Key Account Reporting with ad-hoc analyses.
      • Assisting in regular reporting for our clients.
    • Decision support:
      • Assisting decision-making by providing financial analyses and scenario models.
      • Evaluating the financial impacts of proposed initiatives and projects.
      • Assessing risks and opportunities related to business decisions.
    • Continuous improvement:
      • Identifying process improvement opportunities within the finance function.
      • Staying informed about industry trends and best practices.

    Our Requirements:

    • Hold a degree (diploma/master) in Business Administration.
    • Previous experience in (sales) Controlling, financial analysis, planning, or a related field is desirable.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Initial familiarity with Data Analytics is advantageous.
    • Accustomed to working independently and systematically, always keeping the big picture in mind.
    • Enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
    • Display a high level of service orientation, commitment, and flexibility.
    • English proficiency, while not mandatory, is beneficial in an international corporation setting.
