    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Planning, designing, and selecting Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for our clients
    • Conducting network, client, and server landscape analysis for clients, including bandwidth and capacity planning
    • Collaborating with client departments to gather information and provide ongoing support
    • Installing systems, integrating log sources, and performing activities such as normalization and baselining
    • Implementing use cases based on best practices, threat intelligence, and client preferences
    • Providing support and training to client personnel during system transition
    • No shift work or on-call duties required

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    If you have a degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience, along with a solid foundation in IT, networking, and operating systems, then you are the ideal candidate for this role.

    • Knowledge of IT security standards and frameworks such as ISO2700x, Mitre ATT&CK Framework, IT-Grundschutz, and minimum logging and detection requirements
    • Deep expertise in at least one SIEM platform (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, LogPoint, etc.) and its administration, particularly in creating complex queries, rules, dashboards, and alerts
    • Experience in integrating various log sources like antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proficient use of agents and log forwarders
    • Previous involvement in building SIEMs or Security Operations Centers (SOCs) is a plus
    • Ability to simplify complex concepts and a willingness to share knowledge with others. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to challenging processes and understanding the broader IT context
