We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to our highly innovative client to develop the next generation of nuclear fusion reactors.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers in the design of mechanical components and systems for nuclear fusion reactors.
Work closely with physicists and other engineers to develop and implement new mechanical technologies.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools to design and analyze mechanical systems.
Prepare and review engineering drawings and specifications.
Oversee the fabrication and testing of mechanical components and systems.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that components and systems meet all specifications.


Qualifications:
~ Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
~5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems.
~ Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
~ Experience with CAD software and simulation tools.
~ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
~ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

Qualifications:
Experience with nuclear fusion reactors or other high-energy systems.
Experience with cryogenic systems and cryogenic engineering.
Experience with project management.
