Senior VAT Advisor

Role and Responsibilities:

• Oversee global sales tax registration and filing processes for both domestic and international entities, working with a globally distributed VAT team.
• Analyse new VAT legislation for potential impact and application to the organisation.
• Provide support on all sales tax matters for domestic and international subsidiaries.
• Serve as the primary contact for sales tax issues with tax authorities, external consultants, and during tax audits.
• Develop and enforce sales tax guidelines and processes within the organization.
• Support the integration of sales tax matters into the ERP system, promoting automation and digitization of tax workflows.
• Collaborate with the Director of Tax Compliance and other departments to improve and automate VAT processes.
• Generate regular reports and analyses to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with ongoing tax-related projects.

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant experience in sales tax.
• Expertise in international taxation.
• Enthusiasm for improving existing processes and implementing new ones.
• Interest in new tax tools and technologies.
• Enjoy working in an international finance team.
• Strong initiative, personal responsibility, and quick comprehension skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and German.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
