- Develop and implement the global quality management system and strategy, aligned with the company's vision, mission, and values.
- Establish and monitor global quality objectives, metrics, and indicators, and report on the performance and effectiveness of the product quality, processes quality, customer claims as well as for costs of quality.
- Lead and coordinate the global quality team in a decentralized organization, consisting of regional and site quality managers, specialists in continuous improvement, and provide guidance, coaching, and support to this team.
- Drive and coordinate external certifications of all sites (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001,
- Manage and facilitate the internal and external audit program and ensure timely and effective resolution of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with senior management, business units, and cross-functional teams to identify and address quality risks and opportunities, and drive quality culture and awareness throughout the organization.
- Setup of Standard Operating Procedures for process and supplier validation.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in quality management, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Establish a central Quality Assurance function to continuously improve QC methodologies and tools through the central coordination and identification/implementation of best practices for QC processes.
- Master's degree in engineering, quality, or related field.
- Knowledge in Chemistry, Process Technology, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Industry with a significant part in quality management, preferably in a global or multinational environment.
- Proven track record of leading and managing quality systems and teams, and delivering quality results and improvements.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of quality standards and methodologies, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.
- A strong and up to date theoretical understanding of sustainability, energy and environmental aspects and experience in an industrial environment.
- Excellent English.
- Ability to build personal and organisational credibility and build beneficial internal and external relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
- Strong data management, budgeting, and reporting skills.
- Team player with the capability to navigate a matrix organization and motivate stakeholders to achieve the ojectives

About the postion
The Global Director Quality Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the activities and tasks that must be accomplished to reach the level of excellence desired by our company. In general, the role focuses on long term goals through implementation of short-term initiatives. This includes strengthening our quality assurance, quality control and quality management system. Our company, a multinational company that provides innovative solutions for Paint industry, relies on this key role to create a real competitive advantage to operate more effectively than our industry peers.
