    Job Description

    Your Mission:

  • Build and own the business logic for the attributes, metrics, and KPIs we calculate. You work in synergy with our data scientists, engineers, partners, and product managers, to facilitate the execution of evaluation experiments at scale, and drive adoption of global data solutions by analyzing the relevant metrics.
  • Work in a diverse, highly effective team responsible for optimization of the Quick Commerce product content, covering more than a hundred thousand stores and millions of products in more than 50 countries
  • Analyse data to answer key questions with an eye for what drives product performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement. Lead data exploration projects, and help identify and define future insight and data needs to support various business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the central teams in Berlin as well as with the local teams in APAC, MENA, Latin America and other locations to iterate and improve our models
  • Take ownership of data analytics within the team and work autonomously with stakeholders to deliver insights
  • Solve business problems with data, forming and testing hypotheses along the way
  • Support, collaborate and learn from data scientists to use statistical and machine learning techniques for strategic deep dives
  • Challenge the status quo by proactively bringing new ideas and suggestions to the team
  • Qualifications

    Your Heroic Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or comparable fields
  • Experience in processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (Millions to Billions of rows) of data from different product groups and business functions - Advanced knowledge of SQL ( complex querying BigQuery, Aurora, etc) in an analytical context, and experienced in using cloud services (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure)
  • Working proficiency with Python ( Pandas, Jupyter, Matplotlib, Plotly, Altair, ) for Exploratory Data Analysis. Experience with visualisation and reporting tools ( Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, DataStudio, etc)
  • Basic familiarity with mathematical and statistical data analysis techniques (such as regression, extrapolation, statistical hypothesis testing, or econometric models)
  • You work in a goal-driven environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of using data to tell stories, effectively articulate data challenges and solutions, and deal well with ambiguous and undefined problems; You can lead presentations on different abstraction levels depending on the technical and business depth of the audience.
  • You communicate with business customers (strong communication skills with fluency in English ) on various levels of technical knowledge, educating them about our research, as well as sharing insights and recommendations.
  • Nice To Have:

  • Experience with machine learning or optimization algorithms
  • Experience with tools and data querying languages ( NoSQL, Hadoop/Hive) for handling big data ( Redshift, Spark, Docker)
  • Experience with workflow management tools (eg: Airflow).
  • You follow the practice of tracking and managing iterations of your analyses by using version control systems ( git).
