    When you join Amazon as an Area Manager, you'll gainexperience leading a large and diverse team to make sure your areaof the business keeps pace with demand.

    Key jobresponsibilities

    • Promote a culture of safety andwellbeing
    • Analyse and implement corrective actions tomake sure quality and productivity are at consistently high levels,and business objectives are met across all shifts
    • Support and lead a team and handle administrative work alongsidebuilding and supporting a strong team culture
    • Analyzeperformance and suggest process improvements to optimize work andimprove customer service
    • Collaborate with othermanagers to standardize shift processes and set corrective actionsto make sure quality and productivity are at consistently highlevels, and business objectives are met across all shifts

    A day in the life
    You'll worknightshift and be based at HTM3. Your main focus will be tomaintain safety standards within your team and across your site.
    You'll also monitor and maintain process efficiency.

    Your days willalways include prioritising routine team management and dailyoperational tasks, alongside other tasks like individualescalations, process improvement work and wide-scale operationalcontingency planning.


    Being a key part of theoperations team involves working with colleagues in other teams andexternal partners to make sure we stay on track to meet ourcustomer demands and targets.

    This will involve analyzing data andperformance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well asdiscussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvementswith engineers.

    Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy itemslike furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages theentire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery andreturns. What sets this service apart from others is the extralevel of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but weunpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items whereneeded. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we'rechanging the way customers buy and receive large goods for thebetter.

    We have ambitious plans to expand ourspecialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UKand Europe.

    While those of us who work in delivery stations will dosome night shifts, most of us work during the day.

    Our team is madeup of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligenceand programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role ingrowing this part of the business.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Bachelor'sdegree (or working towards a bachelor's degree)

    • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and locallanguage
    • Relevant experience in performing dataanalysis
