HSE & Sustainability Manager

Our client a globally renowned chemical manufacturer is looking for an experienced and highly motivated HSE Manager to drive behavioural safety program and EHS compliance. You will advise the Site Manager and the Site Leadership Team regarding HSE activities and accountabilities.

You will lead a small group of HSE professionals to drive performance whilst highlighting opportunities to develop standards aimed at creating a world class safety culture on site, in line with German regulations and Corporate EHS standards.

Ideal candidate will have:

· Degree in a scientific, engineering or safety discipline with previous experience leading EHS programs within a chemical or process sector environment.

· Demonstrated hands-on mentality and ability to lead without authority.

· Excellent communications and influencing skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with site personnel at all levels.

· Knowledgeable in process safety standards and local legislation would be desirable.

· Highly driven and passionate in EHS standards and procedures with the ability to influence and engage staff.

· Previous experience in change management and driving EHS cultural development is required.

· Solid knowledge of LEAN principles (green belt or black belt education is a plus).

· Fluency in German and English is essential.
