    Location: Darmstadt, Germany
    Working hours: full time, 40h/week

    We are currently seeking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic Ground Segment Systems Engineer to support our team at EUMETSAT, contributing to the development and maintenance of advanced meteorological satellite systems.

    Your tasks and responsibilities

    • Lead and contribute to the system engineering activities related to the Ground Segment, ensuring the successful integration and evolution of satellite ground systems
    • Plan and execute IVV activities for the Ground Segment systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements, and preparing the relevant documentation
    • Manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and completeness using tools such as DOORS
    • Implement and adhere to European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) standards in the development and maintenance of Ground Segment systems
    • Apply MBSE methodologies to model and analyze complex system architectures, ensuring efficient communication and understanding among project stakeholders
    • Utilize Systems Modeling Language (SysML) for system modeling, analysis, and design, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of system behavior and interactions
    • Actively support Anomaly Review Boards (ARBs) and Change Control Boards (CCBs), providing valuable Input and expertise to address system anomalies and changes within the EUMETSAT project framework

    Your profile

    • A degree in Aerospace engineering or in a similar subject
    • Strong background in IVV activities, with a proven track record of successful integration and validation of complex systems
    • Expertise using DOORS, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and SysML
    • Familiarity with ECSS standards and Enterprise Architect related to space systems.
    • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
