    As a Technical Director , you will act as a leader in all aspects to our studio members within one of our Workplace teams. You should be passionate about all stages, from test fits to technical detailing and construction documentation. You will be experienced in handling the technical process, with excellent presentation and relationship building skills, and the ability to understand and interpret client needs and requirements.

    You will have a good understanding of the end to end design process, commencing in the marketing phase through construction completion, and possess demonstrable International experience, having worked on a variety of projects. A self-motivated team player with a positive, communicative and collaborative approach, you will work in partnership with colleagues across Gensler's practice areas not only in Berlin but Firmwide, as well as with clients, vendors, consultants and stakeholders at all levels. You will have the knowledge and ability to provide guidance to less experienced members of the Interiors team, advising and supporting where necessary. What You Will Do
    • Lead the team in collaboration with the Studio Director and Principal
    • Lead the team in detailed technical development of design and follow through
    • Provide active technical development of the design and technical input during the preparation and execution of construction documents
    • Mentor and teach junior members of the team
    • Lead the technical aspects of the project team and oversee all phases
    • Design and implement planning according to HOAI, LPH 1 to 8
    • Lead the design team towards a cohesive and rational technical solution which best meets the client's brief and conform to the project brief and is technically, legally and financially responsible
    • Responsible for making the technical team aware of current building legislation and the Quality Management System
    • Check work and assembly plans
    • Prepare bills of quantities and building specifications
    • Interact and work with Clients to achieve design intentions of brief
    • Confidently coordinate specialist planners

    Your Qualifications

    You must have:

    • A Master's degree in Interior/Architecture Design
    • Experience of delivering commercial fit-out projects, ideally more than 150,000ft2
    • Experience of working with firms in the Financial and Professional Services
    • Significant, demonstrable experience of leading large teams to deliver projects through all stages including Construction Administration
    • Authorisation to submit building documents building documents and building permit
    • LEED Accreditation
    • Proficiency in Revit and Autocad
    • Fluency in German and English

    Good to have:

    • Ability to create positive relationships with outside design firms and corporate client and stakeholders – experience advising executives in global professional services and financial services firms
    • Experience facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders to reach consensus
    • Experience in mentoring and developing junior employees
