    We are looking for a dynamic and supportive Senior Human Resources Manager/ Director to provide comprehensive HR and administrative expertise to the organization and management.

    Reporting to the President, you will be a key member of the leadership team in the Remscheid office, a strategic advisor to our business leaders and responsible for all local HR activities. You will take over additional European based projects to support the tasks of the HR Director Europe & Asia Pacific and will coordinate reporting for the site and other Professional Tools locations, when appropriate.

    In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will:

  • Manage the team of HR, payroll and admin specialists, build positive relationships with them to ensure department strategy and initiatives are accurately implemented and act as coach/mentor to aid in their development.
  • Assist the VP Operations on critical initiatives relating to labor law, tax law and social insurance.
  • Coordinate performance and talent management activities for the operations organization within Germany through organizational changes, development programs, soft skills trainings and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the works' council on personnel and location issues, draft and prepare company agreements, etc.
  • Lead different European projects and support Emerson projects to ensure the promotion of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Works closely together with the HR team to ensure an accurate monthly POR reporting process for Germany.
  • Responsible for the full recruitment process and supports position moves between locations. Manage new hire onboarding as well as leaving employee processes.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

  • University background, ideally in a Psychology or Economics field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR, in particular in working with works councils, leading organizational changes and being a business partner for management.
  • Strong networking & communication skills, high level of energy and dedication.
  • Driven and passionate about human resources, with a hands-on, forward thinking approach to problem solving.
  • You maintain a positive attitude when leading different projects and organizational change.
  • In-depth knowledge within German labor law and works constitution law.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German, and strong language skills in English are an asset.
  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Basic knowledge of payroll & international employment.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/industrial company is helpful.
