As Systems Engineer Battery Systems US (m/f/d) you are responsible for the architecture and transfer of system requirements into new and existing products for the US american market. You analyze requirements, identify and rank potential solutions, coordinate decisions with the project team and coordinate or handle the implementation yourself into our fascinating products.

The position is inside of a high performance team which is growing rapidly, as are the markets for electrical battery systems and storages, and e-Mobility solutions of Viessmann.

Your impact

• development of system architectures for the US market, according internal and external requirements, documentation, identification of development potential
• technical know-how about system components of our battery systems, specifics of the US market, support of other departments or teams with technical expertise
• role of technical lead in system development projects
• release and certification of new products, with focus on the US market
• coordination of work packages and tasks with internal and external partners (e.g. research institutes, suppliers, etc.)
• tracking of cost figures of components and subsystems with purchasing, cost optimization of systems
• documentation of technical decisions and identification with project goals

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this position has experience or knowledge in systems engineering, working along the V-Model and basic or advanced knowledge in electronics, electrical and especially battery systems. A mindset of initiative and responsibility and communication skills set you apart.

• Master's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, energy- and building technology or similiar, or in natural sciences
• Knowledge and experience in R&D of battery systems technology, electrical products for the US market, batteries, charging systems, inverter technology or e-Mobility
• Applied knowledge in life cycle management, and tools such as Siemens Polarion or Atlassian Jira
• Native speaker proficiency in English
