    Job Description

    As Senior Construction Manager you will be responsible for the direction and performance of field operations and construction management for assigned project(s), ensuring work is performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Principal areas of responsibility are safety, cost estimating, schedule, construction operations, quality, staffing, material control, field-based procurement, client relations, business development, and integrated project delivery. Single or multiple project assignments may be required. Manage, monitor, and control the field project organization and its functions by serving as the primary day-to-day interface with on-site client and trade contractor personnel

    How will I contribute?

  • Assist in the development and lead the implementation and maintenance of the detailed fully integrated project schedule
  • Review and enforce all subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Provide strong leadership to the project team including CRB team members, subcontractors, vendors and the client
  • Determine construction staffing requirements, roles and responsibilities in cooperation with the project team and aligned with Corporate Policies & Procedures and CRB management
  • Develop and maintain a project risk log along with potential mitigation plans
  • Develop and implement a project execution plan meeting CRB Corporate Policies & Procedures
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of an effective construction safety program
  • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor project change order requests and applications for payment
  • Provide monthly forecasting for all project costs, including internal labor and general conditions and work with the Cost Control Group to track and report on all project costs
  • Be a good steward of our clients project budgets
  • Support and implement the project quality control program
  • Hold regular project status and coordination meetings and issue minutes from these meetings
  • Develop and distribute regular reports including, when needed, daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of successful project management experience
  • Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in Biotech/Pharma is strongly preferred
  • Team-oriented individual capable of managing others
  • Demonstrated success in managing the construction scope on mid to large sized projects
  • Design/Build- EPC(M) experience, a plus
  • Substantial Safety training preferred
  • Language:English, French and/or German
