- Good knowledge of Linux asadministrator

It isengaged in the development and optimization of algorithms andapplications for high-performance computing as well as in thedesign and implementation of solutions for data-intensive projectsin close collaboration with scientists of the Max PlanckInstitutes. The MPCDF operates Max Planck supercomputers, computersystems, and data repositories for various Max Planck Institutes,and maintains an up-to-date infrastructure for data managementincluding a long-term archive as one of the largest such academicsites within Europe.

Cloud Solutions Architect (m/f/div)

The MPCDF computerand data infrastructure is currently extended to also includecloud-based systems and we are seeking a qualified candidate tojoin our cloud support team. The chosen candidate will take aleading role in supporting MPG projects as they migrate to theOpenStack cloud as well as designing tailor-made solutions forvarious Max Planck Institutes using this cloud.
The applicant should ideally hold a degree and have ahistory of involvement in research, particularly with strong andclear experience in IT.
