The Global Fleet and Products (GFP) team's mission is to provide the vehicles and services to become one of the biggest electric fleets and EV charging network worldwide.

As a subject matter expert on the EVSE product team, they will be responsible for driving the engineering and technical requirements, defining performance criteria, leading product validations and new technology pilots, and supporting onsite installation and commissioning.

This role is business strategic, inherently cross-functional and requires working closely with engineering design, construction, operations, product and program management, software development, finance, legal and business development teams to develop long-term product strategies, drive programs of cross-organizational impact, bring products to launch, and enhance our existing portfolio, products and features.

A successful candidate will have a background in electrification or be a technical expert within automotive / broader engineering field, skilled in product management, highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and operates with total autonomy to define, develop and validate EVSE products from scratch.

They will be able to develop, own and deploy a product strategy program of business unit wide impact within product and tech development, break them down into manageable pieces, and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Define EVSE products business strategy, portfolio and standards for a business unit in Amazon EU, align teams and organizations across businesses and geographies, lead decision-making process with Senior Leadership.

• Understand the key aspects of EVSE technologies in the areas of design (scalability, robustness, performance), operations (efficiency, usability, reliability), costs (capital and operations), predictive and preventative maintenance, safety and (cyber-) security risks to identify gaps and propose areas of improvement.
• Provide technical diligence on EVSE products, define and derive technical requirements and specifications for EVSE based on business strategy and customer needs (design, performance, safety, local regulations, load management strategies etc.)
• Lead partnerships with internal EV design teams and EV OEMs to ensure EVSE - EV compatibility and deployment configurations (hardware and software) are established
• For EVSE field issues, drive teams to supply failure mode and root-cause analysis, quantify customer exposure, provide remediation, and establish long-term corrective measures as well as preventing reoccurrence. Ability to work on concurrent projects and programs in multiple geographical regions and across business units.
• Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the delivery station

• 8+ years of experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering in the areas of automotive, electrification, power systems, power electronics, control systems for industrial systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Electric Vehicle industry and specifically proven track record in EVSE technology definition, validation and application in large scale, cross-functional, international projects.

• Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, Senior Leadership approvals, development, and into prototyping/manufacturing/roll-out.
• Experience with data analytical skills and tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL and regression models
• Demonstrated ability to work with total autonomy and effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment in an organized manner, and willing to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
