    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    As System Engineer you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Prioritising deliverables/service outputs in coordination with the EUMETSAT TO;
  • Coordinating the service with other service providers;
  • Participating in the regular anomaly review and change management boards;
  • Ensuring service compliance with EUMETSAT policies and business continuity based on a continuously updated service capacity plan;
  • Ensuring the required service capacity at all times including ensuring adequate participation of the team members;
  • Ensuring that the service team is sufficiently trained on matter relevant to this contract and as agreed in the WP or requested by the TO;
  • Managing, supervising and monitoring all the Contractor's key persons/service team members assigned to the service;
  • Distributing tasks and actions to the key persons/service team members for the performance of the service,
  • Regular service status reports. Arranging and preparing monthly and on-demand meetings with the TO to report;
  • Defining, producing and maintaining a repository with all procedures necessary to provide the service and related reports accessible by EUMETSAT;
  • Establishing documentation of service activities in relevant EUMETSAT tools, JIRA, sharepoint, confluence in coordination with TO.

    • Skills & Experience

  • You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
  • Management and coordination of the off-line tools and functions (OFTs);
  • Technical and software knowledge of scientific algorithms and products, test tools and prototypes;
  • Familiarity with procurement, installation and use of the system test tools used for operational validation and commissioning;
  • Familiarity with System Operational Validation preparation and support to execution;
  • Familiarity with Commissioning preparation and support to execution;
  • Coordination between System, GS and other teams for analysis and resolution of issues and for maintenance of the system baseline, including contributing to related reviews and meetings, production of recommendations to MTG level boards;
  • Organization and conduct of TRR / TRB;
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
