- You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's approach to insurance and regulatory law, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.
- Handling strategically important projects with international scope, requiring strong legal expertise and a willingness to engage with foreign laws and jurisdictions.
- Conducting legal research and addressing issues in insurance contract law, insurance supervisory law, intermediary law, general contract law, conflict of law rules, and European laws.
- Providing legal advice to management, executives, and employees on various lines of business, distribution, multinational operations, and strategic projects.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents, particularly insurance and reinsurance wordings, as well as commercial and service contracts.
- Advising on strategic sales projects, partnerships, and digitization initiatives.
- Providing guidance on cross-border insurance and supporting the updating of international licensing guidelines.
- Collaborating with colleagues from different locations on strategic legal positions, and participating in the planning and delivery of training sessions and information events.
- Managing external legal counsel when necessary.
- Completed law studies- qualified lawyer with 1st and 2nd German State exams.
- Business fluency in English and German.
- Passion for challenging legal work and negotiations.
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly.
- Analytical, organisational, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in industrial insurance or a law firm, with relevant expertise.
