    Amazon is seeking a German-speaking Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM) to support the growth of our AWS Strategic Partner Collaboration & Governance (SPCG) Team in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

    The preferred location is Munich, but the candidate can work off other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

    This is a pivotal time in our partner core organisation and you will join us in helping shape, lead and deliver the approach to manage our most important strategic partnerships.

    Strategic Partnership Managers are the 'face' of our Strategic Collaboration Agreements with Partners and work across business development initiatives to accelerate both AWS and the partner business as well as the governance of these agreements.

    An SPM is an executive, strategic and partner facing resource that specializes in building new revenue streams, in driving change, and in building cross-organizational alignment and governance for highly bespoke, complex or transformational partnership collaborations.

    This person will play an active role in understanding the partnership goals, articulating the actions required to execute on these and then keeping all stakeholders across both AWS and the partner teams accountable for delivering results.

    The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment. This is an Individual Contributor role.

    Key job responsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key partnersEvangelize the vision for the strategic relationship with these partners and work with internal AWS teams to ensure a consistent approach to working with them based on best practicesWork with AWS teams to advise on initiatives and opportunities that will yield the maximum benefit for both AWS and our partnerBe an ambassador for AWS and represent our business with authority, credibility and diplomacy and proactively foster collaborative relationships at all levels including C suite, both internally and externally with our partner organisationsWork with AWS internal teams including partner consultants and legal teams to understand the agreements put in place with partners and the deal specifics including AWS funding and programmes versus partner specific goalsGovern our strategic collaboration agreements, from operationalising the workstreams required to deliver the goals, to implementing frameworks and reports to track key performance indicators.

    You will communicate status updates to stakeholders and business leaders.


    Build scalable mechanisms to allow us to support more partners and bring the best value to our partnerships through automation and efficient processesWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:5+ years' experience working with partners through Alliance Management, Account Management, Program Management and Business Development engagements.

    Direct experience working with AWS Consulting and/or Technology partners, or you have been an employee at a large AWS partner.

    Familiarity with and other sales, marketing, and project management tools.
    Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business.
    Analytical tendencies with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn and iterate in order to develop scalable programs.
    Negotiation and issue resolution capabilities.
