Looking for a Field Application Engineer

Your role is pivotal in shaping the future of a Silicon Carbide Power Semiconductor company. Your contributions will play a crucial role in our expansion efforts. This position will be located in Nuremberg, Germany.

Field Application Engineer Job Description:

• Collaborate closely with sales to offer pre and post-sales technical assistance to European clientele.
• Travel to customer sites as necessary to provide support.
• Work alongside device and module design engineers to troubleshoot customer applications.
• Cultivate strong relationships with both sales and engineering teams to contribute to the development of next-generation products.
• Assess opportunities from a technical standpoint and propose optimal solutions.
• Aid both new and existing customers throughout the evaluation and production phases.
• Collect insights on the competitive landscape and relay them to management.
• Communicate technical market trends and recommend strategies for success.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 50% of the time.

Filed Application Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within power semiconductors and their applications.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both German and English.
• Proficient in reviewing schematics and providing support using company products.
• Capable of articulating company's value proposition in comparison to competitors.
• Familiarity with SiC MOSFETs, Diodes, and Power Modules.
• Assertive mindset with a focus on securing designs with customers.
