Job Description:
As the Head of Products in our freight forwarding division, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping our product offerings across various transportation modes including air, ocean, rail, and road freight.
Leveraging your expertise in logistics and transportation, you will drive the development and enhancement of our freight forwarding solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the industry.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy Development :
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's goals and market demands, focusing on air, ocean, rail, and road freight services.
Market Analysis :
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape in the freight forwarding industry.
Product Portfolio Management :
Oversee the management of our freight forwarding product portfolio, including existing offerings and new product development initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, operations, technology, and finance to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.
Customer Engagement :
Engage with key customers to understand their unique requirements and preferences, leveraging insights to tailor and optimize our freight forwarding solutions.
Performance Monitoring :
Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the effectiveness and profitability of our freight forwarding products, implementing necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance :
Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to air, ocean, rail, and road freight, ensuring our products adhere to relevant regulations.
Vendor Management :
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and carriers, negotiating contracts and service agreements to optimize costs and service levels.
Training and Development :
Provide guidance and training to team members on product knowledge, market trends, and industry best practices.
