    What You'll Do:

    As Global Legal Counsel at Criteo, you will join Criteo's cross-functionally Global Legal Commercial & Product Team, with a primary focus on supporting sales team for the DACH markets while our German legal counsel will be on maternity leave (2 years).

    This role is based in Germany (Munich) with a flexible working from home policy.

    You will partner with commercial teams primarily but also marketing/PR, product, GTM, finance and other teams across all parts of Criteo's business, including product development, go-to-market and product support, negotiating transactions with advertisers, brands, retailers, publishers and technology and data partners; providing advice on advertising and privacy matters; and otherwise providing high-value, business- focused legal advice in support of any other matters that come our way.

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of commercial / tech law experience with a top-tier law firm (with IP, privacy, technology experience) and/or in-house tech industry experience (ad tech or advertising/marketing law experience is a plus).
  • Some experience in drafting/negotiating marketing, commercial and technology agreements including a general knowledge of data privacy (GDPR in particular), competition law, non-disclosure agreements, as well as advising on advertising guidelines and best practices.
  • Problem solver, with a pragmatic, commercial focused approach.
  • Desire to learn and understand complex technologies supporting go-to-market activities.
  • Ability to engage with business partners of different experience levels, provide reasoned legal advice (in clear, easy to understand ways), empower partners through training initiatives and act as a trusted partner with commercial teams. Fluent proficiency in English language (written and oral). Ability to juggle competing priorities and work harmoniously with internal stakeholders and other legal team members. Ability to really hit the ground running and adapt quickly to change business needs and/or priorities.
