- Participation in the monthly and annual financial statements according to US GAAP and HGB;
- Continuous review and analysis of the progress of production and sales orders based on cost and hourly accounting;
- Booking of production and sales progress for large orders (percentage-of-completion bookings);
- Analysis, comparison and reporting of material consumption and production hours against plan/forecast;
- Monthly determination of production costs and valuation of inventory assets;
- Determination and review of sales or production-related valuation adjustments (penalties, warranty costs, inventory write-offs);
- Determination and accounting of surpluses and shortages in the production process
- Supporting management and finance business partners with meaningful deviation analyses
- Participate in process improvements regarding all aspects of production cost accounting and related reporting;
- Carrying out the SOX controls assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Supporting General Accounting with location-related issues relating to the preparation of commercial and tax financial statements
- Business degree (Bachelor) with a focus on finance and accounting or comparable training;
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the area of cost accounting/controlling, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and material flows as well as associated order accounting systems and processes;
- Sound HGB and IFRS/US-GAAP knowledge,
- Experience in conducting SOX controls
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Experience in dealing with ERP programs, preferably SAP R/3;
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.

- Ability to prioritize different tasks, even under changing conditions;
- Independent working style and ability to solve complex accounting issues;
- Willingness to work in a cross-location team;
