Operations Manager - Estorf, Deutschland - ID Logistics

For our latest logistics centre in Estorf (Greater Hanover area) we are looking for a strong and experienced Operations Manager Contract Logistics (m/f/d) to start on 1 July 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibility for planning, organisation, and assurance of operational processes with the aim of 100% customer satisfaction whilst maintaining a strong awareness of costs
• Management of all warehouse employees (disciplinary and professional), as well as permanent staff deployment planning in consultation with all areas and staff requirement notifications and orders with service providers
• POC (point of contact) for the customer whilst constantly ensuring compliance with and optimisation of quality and performance indicators
• Management, monitoring, and corrective intervention in operational processes, as well as assurance of compliance with statutory and internal occupational health and safety standards
• Assurance of the induction and training of employees by supervisors, employee development meetings, and monitoring of training measures
• Partial assumption of site management tasks on a deputy basis
• Holiday planning and approvals for staff in your own area of responsibility

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree preferably in logistics, business administration, economics or similar qualifications with appropriate further training in the logistics sector
• Several years of professional experience in the contract logistics industry, as well as experience in staff management in a similar position within contract logistics (team size of approximately 200 employees)
• In-depth knowledge of the operational area in logistics and prior knowledge of the essential QSHE instruments (Lean Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
• Fluent in business German and English
• Initial experience in project management is an advantage, as well as good communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Assertiveness, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, innovative thinking, and an affinity for numbers
• Ability to react quickly to new business circumstances, strong hands-on mentality, and high sense of responsibility as well as strong team spirit
