- Implementation and execution of subsystem and equipment procurement for satellites including bus and payload subsystems and equipment as well as ground support equipment, especially for predevelopments, Phase A & B1 study projects
- Management of required subcontract documents (contract, SOW, specification) and negotiation of the subcontract commercial and contractual agreements
- Management of the supplier and subcontract for a delivery on cost, on quality and on time from contract implementation until delivery of hardware
- Perform regular program and management reviews during subcontract lifetime
- Implement and manage a competitive tendering process in an international environment
- Acquire an overview over subsystem and equipment prices
- Understand the price driver for certain subsystems and equipment in order to achieve financial targets
- Perform subcontractor rating including feedback and definition of correcting actions with the subcontractor
- Manage commercial and institutional procurements within the customer driven requirements
- Regularly report on status and progress of procurements
- Be the focal point of contact for a procurement domain and the subsystem, equipment and service range connected to this domain
- Support early program cost estimation
- Evaluate suppliers for your domain worldwide
- Support further definition and optimization of internal process
- Engineering degree in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics or Opto-Electronics, Physics or similar technical areas
- Experience in space sector is highly desirable
- Several years of work experience in development, manufacturing, qualification and testing of complex systems, preferably in the space sector
- Extensive experience in the procurement and management of complex subcontracts
- Experience in legal matters and contract negotiation processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
- Process-oriented working discipline
- High motivation and team spirit
- Readiness for frequent travels inside Europe in the frame of our international subcontractors in various ESA member states
