About our client

An international mid-cap buyout firm in its 4th fund vintage with a focus on tech and services and a very strong track record, now looking to enter the DACH market. The firm plans to develop as a pan-European player and sees this as a key move in that evolution, with a commitment to build a local team and integrate as a major player in the German market. What the job involves

• Represent the firm in the German / DACH market, building networks among entrepreneurs, managers, advisers and other investors
• Drive targeted dealflow generation in key verticals
• Lead diligence, negotiations and execution including managing the internal investment committee process
• Manage ongoing value creation programmes through to exit
• Lead and develop junior team members
• Contribute to the wider strategic leadership and development of the business internationally

Who we are looking for

• A successful record of mid-cap investments as deal leader
• Excellent commercial judgment and project management skills
• Outbound personality able to forge and develop effective relationships with a wide constituency of people, including internally
• Ambitious, entrepreneurial character, looking to build a new business in the market
• An international mindset, able to work effectively cross-border; native level German and fluent English
• The role is on a pathway to partnership medium term
